Why is it important to submit with the correct values of magazines?
It is very important that you indicate the true value of your magazines when completing our submission form. The value determines the tiers at which each magazine is graded and each company only insures books for the value indicated. It is also important to note that each grading company can, at their discretion, deem that a magazine belongs in a higher tier, which will lead to additional costs post-submission. These additional fees will be communicated to clients, and will be due before the magazines are picked-up/shipped out.
In the event that The Comic Doctor, at its sole discretion, determines that the fair market value is higher than the value stated by the submitter, The Comic Doctor will move the magazine to the appropriate higher value and the additional fee will be the responsibility of the submitter.
What is the CGC handling fee?
CGC charges an invoice/handling fee for each tier of magazines submitted. This charge is $9 per tier and is calculated during submission automatically.
Can these grading fees change?
CGC charge their grading fees in USD. As a result, prices can fluctuate with the exchange rate and can change without notice.
Additionally, CGC can change their fees at any time which can result in an increase/ decrease in grading costs.
