Kevin has been a comic book enthusiast for well over 35 years and has been pressing comics professionally since 2011. In fact, the Comic Doctor was one of the first companies to offer such a service in Canada. Kevin holds an honours bachelor of fine arts degree and bachelor of education degree from the University of Toronto. While at U of T, he focused primarily on painting, drawing, sculpting and art history. Kevin’s first foray into conservation was refinishing antique furniture and gramophones. It is only natural that his interest in conservation would eventually lead back to his beloved comic books. Over the last 12 years, Kevin has developed a safe and effective method to press and gently clean comic books and other paper-based objects.

Charlo has been collaborating with the Comic Doctor since 2017. His keen attention to detail has become an invaluable addition at the shop. Not only is Charlo an expert dry-cleaner, but he is also highly proficient at pressing as well. Charlo has spear-headed our magazine service, which has grown exponentially in recent years. A dedicated comic book collector since the early 80s, Charlo knows the ins and outs of the hobby, owning an extensive collection of not only comic books, but other collectibles as well. Charlo operates the Comic Loft, an additional shop located on the second level of our new facility.
