Jeremy’s Daredevil #1 (1964)
A very worn copy of this great silver age comic book. The book was likely a 2.0-2.5. Although the grade may not increase by much, the pressing certainly improved the comic book’s appearance.

Jeremy’s New Mutants #98 (1991)
I cannot tell you how many copies of this super-hot book I have worked on. This one suffered from many dings and dents. Following my exclusive press service, the comic surely jumped 2 grades!

Stephen’s Amazing Spider-Man #27 (1965)
A common result of improper storage is spine roll, as seen with this copy of ASM 27. After “surgery”, the spine defect is significantly corrected. Be sure to click on the images to zoom in!

Stephen’s Amazing Spider-Man #129 (1974)
This copy of ASM 129 was a solid mid grade book, with prominent spine and corner defects keeping the grade down. After my exclusive clean and press…a significant improvement is noticeable.

Daredevil #1 (1964)
This low-mid grade classic comic book had obvious wear, but still benefited from a pressing. When defects are many/ excessive, there is only so much pressing can do. As you can see, however, many defects were reduced greatly.

Wolverine #2 (1982)
This comic showed much stress on the spine; the front and back covers also had a number of dents and bends. The pressing clearly softened the defects, and in some spots removed the defects all together.

Astonishing Tales #26 (1974)
Please forgive the flash on the before pics, although it does highlight the defects well. This book suffered from water damage. The pages were swelled and the front and back covers were wavy and riddled with wrinkles. The pressing most certainly improved the appearance of this low – now mid-grade comic.

Incredible Hulk #180 (1974)
This comic had some folding on the front and back covers plus a significant bend on the bottom right of t he book. The pressing reduces/ eliminates the folds effectively.

Amazing Spider-Man #16 (1963)
This comic was a low-mid grade book with a damaged/rolled spine and lots of front/back cover defects. The pressing tightened it right up.

Star Wars #1 (1977)
Spine rolls are a common defect that can usually be reduced significantly or eliminated all together. Once this comic’s spine roll was removed, its grade jumped quite a bit.

More to come….
